CB Rainbow Bridge
The Rainbow Bridge will be located on the south side of the CB lake. The planks will be replaced with the colored Trex boards. Name plates will be embedded on the edges so as to not get trampled.

There will also be a memorial garden at one entrance of the bridge for additional pet recognition with painted rocks, statues and more...

The Rainbow Bridge is a poem that brings comfort and peace to owners who have lost a beloved pet. It tells us that each pet crosses the bridge to a place where there is no longer pain, no longer suffering, and much happiness as they await their beloved family.
Carolina Beach, very much a pet-friendly community, is working on a project to provide a place where our loved companions can be honored and their memories cherished. Located soon at the beautiful Carolina Beach Lake, Rainbow Bridge will be a place where pets, who have gained their wings, will be remembered for all to see! The lake is a peaceful place and as each person walks the perimeter, they will be able to take a moment, should they so desire, to see those who have gained their wings and the incredible love their owners had for the time spent here on Earth.

There was only one other Rainbow Bridge in North Carolina and sadly that was washed out with Hurricane Helene. Lake Lure is currently in the process of re-establishing and we wanted to assure that our beloved pets, in this part of North Carolina, had an opportunity to also be memorialized.

We know that Rainbow Bridge, in Carolina Beach, NC, known as a pet friendly community, will become a beacon of hope and bring peace to those who have lost a beloved family member who may be gone but not forgotten!

How can I participate?
It is anticipated that there will be 133 planks available for recognition. Use the form below to make a donation to Friends of CB for 150.00 and choose a colored plank with a nameplate for your pet to be part of the new bridge. For a $25 donation, you can get the nameplate only
Additional memorialization will also be forthcoming once all planks are claimed and any extra donations, will be used to benefit the compassionate care of animals (e.g. spay/neuter; vaccinations, etc), maintenance of the bridge and support the Friends of Carolina Beach.
